2019 Local 103 Blood Drive To Save More Than 560 Lives

Annual Wellness Event draws nearly 1,000 Health Plan Participants

April 10, 2019 – On Tuesday April 9, 2019, participants of the Local 103, IBEW Health Benefit Plan proudly joined in support of the Greater Boston community, donating 187 units of blood to the American Red Cross at the 8th Annual Blood Drive and Wellness Event, sponsored the Local 103 IBEW Health Benefit Plan. This year’s blood donations will save more than 560 lives, according to the Red Cross.

Health Plan Notices, 2018 Re-Enrollment Form and 2018 Supplemental Part D Form Mailed to Health Plan Participants

Eligible Participants must return forms to the Trust Funds Office by December 31, 2018

On December 4, 2018 the Local 103, I.B.E.W. Health Benefit Plan mailed all eligible Health Plan Participants a Health Plan Notice and 2018 Re-Enrollment (Yellow) Form These forms are required in order to ensure we have the most accurate information on file, and so the Plan can provide the best service possible for all eligible Participants and their families.

October 2, 2018 – IBEW Local 103 proudly participated in the American Cancer Society’s 26th annual “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk” in Boston on Sunday, September 30th.

More than 700 lives to be saved with blood donations!

April 28, 2018 – On Tuesday April 10, 2018, the participants of the Local 103 IBEW Health Benefit Plan came together in support of the Greater Boston community, as we exceeded our goal of more than 225 units of blood donated at the 7th Annual Blood Drive and Wellness Event. The blood donations will save over 700 lives, according to the American Red Cross!

Local 103 Trust Fund Health Plan’s Wellness Program Launches
“Couch-to-5K” Exercise and Wellness Series –
Thursdays, July 13th – September 14th

The Local 103, I.B.E.W Health Plan is pleased to announce a special “Couch-to-5K” Wellness Series for Participants will be held Thursday evenings from July 13th – September 14th at 4:30pm and 5:30pm at the IBEW Local 103 Union Hall in Dorchester.

The Wellness Program sessions will be led by Kaitlyn Gambino Sherman, RN, Wellness Coordinator and Robert Smith of Elliot Physical Therapy, and is designed to assist individuals at all levels of fitness. They will lead two exercise sessions each Thursday, at 4:30 and 5:30pm, and will also be available at those times for personal coaching of Health Plan Participants or to answer any questions Participants may have regarding exercising and general wellness.
